Ok everyone, after having a late night pow-wow with the rest of the team last night despite it being election night we have come up with a new purpose for the lightweight stripped down OS known as PC/OS Virtual Machine. The team and I think that there is a need for a core distro that boots in 30 seconds. So we came up with an OpenCore concept. This concept allows you, the user to decide where you want to deploy, how you want to deploy and what packages you want to deploy. Before I make feature Paks and offline repos we will have to collect usage data. SSH and other packages will be delivered so basically its a stripped down version of Server but it can be built into a desktop system as well.
Since all the work is done and all I have to do is rip out VirtualBox and who knows, we may have something tonight. We have been working hard all night and we pretty much concluded talks at 5 am. You can use VirtualBox 2.0.4 from Suns site.
