Due to PC/OpenSystems LLC being headquartered out of rural North Carolina we are making the following preparations in preparation for the storm.
Wed Sept 12, 2018 - At 12:00 pm all developmental servers will be taken offline. All disks will be stored in watertight containers and stored above flood level any equipment light enough will be stored above flood level as well.
Wed, Sept 12, 2018 - 6:00 pm all non essential personnel will be evacuated.
Thurs, Sept 13, 2018 - 12:00 pm - The offices will be closed until Monday, Sept 17, 2018
Some things to expect. Depending on power and internet status we will resume operations ASAP. Due to the severity of the storm we are expecting power loss for 14 to 20 days.
Shipments will see delay. This includes physical as well as perhaps a few hours to a couple of days of download of ISO's. Physical shipments will see a delay of 5 to 10 days.
Communications will be inhibited for at least 4 days. All bug reports and feature requests for Linspire, Freespire and nextDESKTOP will be stored and acted upon when all services are restored.
