Upon working on PC/OS 2009v2, I had watched a PDC video on Windows 7 desktop. There the presenter said something interesting. Look to the past for some interesting functionality. So I did that, I looked at CDE, hardly interesting except minimized icons on the desktop. Then I looked at NeXTStep with the wharf that was later recreated as the dock in Mac OS X. So I said, what if I could recreate something like that for PC/OS?.
Well upon playing around this is what I came up with.

A shortened bottom launch surface that the user could add as many shortcuts as he wanted, the sidebar would be the Iconbox applet for XFCE that would show all the open and minimized applications on the system. It would grow as more applications were opened and instead of text it would just show the application icon.
Then I looked at the bottom bar and said it looks a bit crowded. so I decided to extend the bottom bar all the way through.

which I thought didnt look bad. So tell me what you think and send in some feedback and let me know what you think. Of course this isnt the absolute change and you probably wont see this layout except for this post.
