About CrossShell for UNIX: CrossShell for UNIX is a collection of more than 250 native utilities for
Windows and Windows Server. It helps administrators, developers, and IT teams
work across Windows and UNIX/Linux environments using familiar command-line
tools.
Unlike compatibility layers that rely on traditional text-stream workflows,
many CrossShell utilities are designed to work with both text and structured
Windows data. This approach enables tools such as awk, grep, and sed to
interoperate with Windows technologies, including the Registry, CIM, and WMI.
